Service was awesome! The ambiance is different than what I'm used to, but still super chill and was a vibe.

This place is a hidden gem in the Arts District. With music on a lot of nights and even a drag brunch, it's got something for everyone. I went there on Heavy Metal night and it was full but all the people were super friendly. The bar itself is dimly lit with comfortable couches lining the walls if you wanted to have a conversation with your drink. The music was at an appropriate volume throughout the bar depending on how loud you wanted it. Our server was super friendly but it did take a bit to get ahold of them to order and close my tab. Pricing was pretty on par with other Arts District bars.

Very cool place. Good vibe and lots of entertainment. I'm glad I found this place. Moved from LA and getting to know Vegas night scene. I yelped and decided to take a look at this bar. I ordered a beer at the bar, price was very reasonable. It was Goth night and people costumed Goth and lots of makeup on. Fun to look at people and age group was diverse. Definitely I will revisit this bar when they have different events. Very cool place.

So it's important to note that this review is in comparison to other bars in the area and not just a service related vibe. Artifice is a well-run, very put together venue run by someone who has been in the business in the area for about 10 years and made it through the Pandemic with his place intact. It's an inclusive place where you can be anyone or anything you want to be, but you can't act any way you want to act. If there's an issue with someone's behavior, it's going to be handled even as the majority of folks are having a good time and wouldn't notice it being handled. Check the venue's website before showing up after 9pm as there are a bunch of different events going on and they cater to very specific audiences. If you want a goth night, it's pretty much the standard other places get judged by in Vegas. (Cemetery included in my opinion) If you want live music, you'll find open mics and some touring acts rolling through as I've started noticing the place on regional tour slots. Note on the sound system and dance floor. Sound system is pretty great for the size of the place. Owner has put a lot into it. Dance floor could use some leveler. Most people won't notice it but it's the only thing I could think of that was negative about the performance space. Don't know if I'd listen to vinyl being spun there as I get the vibe it's tuned for digital. Drinks are off a curated menu that hasn't changed in the last year. Water, non-proof stuff is pretty cheap. Curated menu items are between 9 and 11 bucks. If you go with something custom or a double you're looking at between 15 and 20 bucks. Not the cheapest, not the most variety, but most nights have no cover and there's a lot of seating space, so table charges aren't something you have to worry about. I've been to the nearby Garden, Berlin, and 18. Artifice isn't going to stand up to anything on strip in terms of bands and such, but when I'm off-strip I prefer Artifice. Give it a try if you've not. Just be smart and check ahead so you don't end up at a themed night expecting a different one.
